Highly recommend staying at the Salty Jackal! The team is awesome. I went out with Oliver for surf guiding - a once in a lifetime experience surfing in the desert. The lodging was comfortable. Everyone was very friendly and hospitable. Would stay there again!
My stay at Salty Jackal lasted more than two weeks. Within these two weeks, I felt very well taken care of at Salty Jackal. This was mainly due to the family situation at the backpackers. The guests and the staff were very nice and very accommodating, which surrounded me with a familiar environment that temporarily became my home. The hostel is very lovingly furnished and offers several places to relax and hang out. Various events are offered. Sometimes a dinner together or a camping trip welded the guests and the staff together even more and made the time at Salty JAckal even better. My main event revolved around surfing. The surfing conditions in and around Swakopmund are good for all levels of surfers. I had a great time at the Salty JAckal because of the family environment and all the surfing.
I really enjoyed my time at the cosy Salty Jackal! Ollie, Iris and the volunteers are super friendly and helpful. The surf-safaris were a lot of fun and I hope to surf the mega tubes next year thanks to Ollie his tips. ;)
My stay at Salty Jackal Backpackers was nothing less than absolutely incredible. From meeting beautiful people from all over the world to experience moments that will last a lifetime, this is exactly the place you want to stay at to make your Swakopmund, or Namibian, dream - a reality! I cannot wait to be back and laugh with you all again!
